Hello Surface-dwellers!
It's barely been a week since we listed our reward status, showing that we had one final reward to go out - Monsters of the Deep!, the Threat Files supplement that we built up via Stretch Goal achievements during our campaign.
But that was a week ago! Let's change that status by sending out our final reward!
REWARD DISTRIBUTION
Monsters of the Deep! is an expansive bestiary for They Came from Beneath the Sea!, including a variety of new monsters big and small to include in your stories as goons, or to base your plots around as central antagonists.
As with the threats introduced in They Came from Beneath the Sea!, the monsters in this book can be played for farce, with the Director emphasizing the rubbery costumes coming apart at the seams, or for horror, with the Director describing in precise detail what the Algae of Doom does to its victims (and it isn’t pretty!).
Monsters of the Deep! includes:
Disgusting Destroyers such as Billy Skibbers, the Colossomantids, and the Siliclones!
Edentulous Enslavers including the Algae of Doom, Poseidon, and the Box Jellies!
Insidious Invaders including the Sea Dragons, Dire Sea Sponges, and Jelly Men!

Spumy Spies not limited to Melvis and the Deep-Water Band, Mr. Frosty, and the Red Coral Society!

BACKER PDF VERSION
This is the first version of Monsters of the Deep! to be released. We've sent you these initial Backer PDFs for three reasons:
1) To thank you for your support! You helped bring this game from the murky depths of Matthew Dawkin's imagination (so to speak!) and bring this into the world, and you deserve to see it first!
2) So you can start playing right away! You're got the rules, you've characters, and now you've got brand new monsters to fight! Fight! Fight! PLAY THIS GAME!
3) To make the final version the best it can be! The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the underseaerrata and correction process!
Generally, we try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, so, please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered.
We won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form. Please note this form will be for errata only - typos, incorrect math, page elements that overlap incorrectly, etc. It won't be for book discussion - you can do that in a different thread, or on the Kickstarter comments page.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), we will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.
You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.

Welcome to the first update of 2021. Despite the ongoing challenges of 2020, last year ended up being a pretty good year for They Came from Beneath the Sea!, with all but one of our rewards delivered.

2020 Year End Update

Hello surface-dwellers,
2020 has been a wild one, full of challenges, obstacles, and what seemed like never-ending issues. Even when the Onyx Path team was able to adapt and overcome, momentum was stalled by other factors - printing delays, shipping backlogs, and more. Every process that normally took a week took a month instead, and everything that normally took a month to complete ended up taking 4.
But you know all of that! For some of you, your hardcover book was delayed a few months. For others, even more months beyond that. Thank you all for your patience this year!
I can confirm that the final dozen international orders have been picked, packed, and are waiting for the courier to pick them up.
What a battle this year has been, but the end is in sight.
Don't forget to mask your gills.
This year has obviously been full of unexpected challenges and difficult times. I know the Onyx Path team and writers were hit hard by the chaotic and shifting nature of the year, and plans and projects had to be shuffled around as situations and solutions were figured out. Projects that were expected to be completed or nearing completion were sometimes delayed, sometimes rescheduled, but never abandoned. I'm hoping 2021 is a much more manageable time, and looking forward to the results of the hard work of the Onyx Path team in keeping the machine running as best they could during this weird year.

ONYX PATH ON KICKSTARTER IN 2020
To say this year was challenging would be an understatement. Despite difficult, uncertainty, and demanding situations, the Onyx Path team continued to work on the great projects that have made us fans. It wasn't easy - schedules shifted, delays managed, and difficulties dealt with - but here we are at the end of 2020 and, despite the chaos, there are some victories to show!
Kickstarter continues to be an important part of the process for Onyx Path, and looking at the long list of projects in the works on the Monday Meeting Notes blog, it certainly looks like that’ll continue to be the case in 2021.
Rather than just take pre-order for an upcoming project, Kickstarter has allowed Onyx Path to gauge interest in game lines (to see if they should develop additional projects beyond those offered during the campaign), and sometimes even add additional projects to a game line immediately via Stretch Goal achievements. More importantly, it’s a chance to interact with the community and for everyone to get involved from the earliest stages.
Looking at 2020, Onyx Path had 7 Kickstarter campaigns funded, with one more currently on the go!
And, though the campaign still has a few hours to go, the recent DeadMan's Rust mega-adventure and setting supplement for ScarredLands 5th Edition has funded, which means it will get added to the list soon!

I'll still post our regular month end/year end summary in a few weeks, but didn't want to wait on getting this reward out to you. I also have an update - well, mostly just a status check in - on our final hardcover shipments for those outside of North and South America that are still waiting on their books.

SHIPPING UPDATE
All of the books have shipped to North and South American backers. If you're in those areas, you should have received your books or be able to see how close they are via BackerKit's tracking, as detailed in our last monthly update <here>.
We're currently in the middle of shipping books for three campaigns - They Came from Beneath the Sea!, Chronicles of Darkness: Dark Eras II, and Pirates of Pugmire - to backers in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and "More" (which is the current catch-all for the unique and amazing backers around the world!). Between these three campaigns, we had about 300 final orders still to be shipped at the beginning of the month.
Due to staffing restrictions and operating guidelines in dealing with Covid-19, Onyx Path's shipping partner on these books is moving a little slower than usual, but still working their way through these orders. I'm seeing status updates daily, with orders moving from "Picking" to "Packed" to "Pick Up Scheduled" to "Shipped" so they are slowly clearing up this backlog. I'm hoping to be able to load in some tracking numbers in BackerKit by the end of the week.
So, these final deliveries are taking their time, and will still take some time to actually deliver, but these final pieces should be on the way soon. Thanks again to everyone for their patience as we try to work through everything 2020 has thrown at us.

Well, we smashed that! As well as the additional goals which expanded the new Scenario book a few times! And now, that reward is ready to be distributed to backers!
Tales of Aquatic Terror! is a book of playable stories for They Came from Beneath the Sea!, containing four adventures of varying length and complexity ready for play straight from the pages.
As with the stories in They Came from Beneath the Sea!, these tales of terror can be played in the mode of farce, horror, or anything in between. This book contains options for terror far at sea, frights at the beach, and deep conspiracies in 1950s American society, which isn’t as pure as it would have us believe. Each of these stories is fit to be played as one-shots or as parts of longer stories!
Tales of Aquatic Terror! includes:
A story of frightening disappearances in the coastal resort of Warm Rock, California! Only the protagonists can solve the mystery and stop people from vanishing.
A tale of horror at sea as a pleasure yacht finds itself caught between iguanoids, a U-Boat, and the US Navy, with the yacht’s passengers forced to take action to survive their vacation!
A mystery in Portland, Maine, where the Prefecture of the Pod engineer a conspiracy to take control of an important government official, and only the player characters can stop them!
A journey of aquatic menace as the passengers of the Rose Marie luxury cruise liner encounter a plethora of threats on what is supposed to be the transatlantic journey of a lifetime!

November 2020 Update

Hello Surface-dwellers!
I hope you're all keeping safe and managing as best you can during this difficult year. After spending the morning dealing with water in it's worst form -SNOW! - I'm ready to give you a quick status update as we slide into the final week of the month.
Seriously. We had a lot of snow yesterday, and it's about a bajillion pounds! Or, I'm just really out of shape after doing nothing for the past year.
As detailed in last month's update, we're in the end stages of shipping our physical rewards. Many of you have received tracking information, some have already received your books! But there are still a bunch of pledges still to go. Our fulfillment partners are still safely working through the remaining orders, with hopes that everything will be out over the next 2-3 weeks.
TRACKING INFORMATION
Normally, US backers would start seeing deliveries a week or two after the orders have left the warehouse, but the strain on delivery infrastructure during this pandemic has a cascading effect that's just slowing all processes down. That's also affecting tracking updates - but, I'm told, information should catch up as packages move through the system. You may end up receiving your book before your tracking status gets updated, but the good news is that, eventually, everything should be delivered and confirmed.
As the orders ship, you will (*should*) get an e-mail with Tracking Information.
Once the orders ship, the fulfillment team is able to take the Tracking information and load it into the BackerKit Pledge Manager system. Your tracking information may take 2-5 days to update at any given time, so you may see "Pre-Shipment" as it filters out to the various shipping agencies, but it should update as it travels and eventually delivers to you.
Again: You'll have your tracking numbers sent via the e-mail provided to Backerkit, and shortly thereafter, you will also be able to access your Tracking number in Backerkit by reviewing your Order Confirmation.
Your BackerKit Confirmation page has:

2 - Your BackerKit e-mail
3 - the TRACKING NUMBER for your shipment (once it's been uploaded)
